Office 365 for education, launched June 2012, will provide free Microsoft-hosted e-mail and other services to educational institutions and replace Live@edu as Microsoft's competitor to Google Apps for Education. Education customers will get larger mailboxes and other service improvements, and could benefit from future improvements to Office 365.
