Don Retallack

Don Retallack analyzes and writes about Microsoft's systems management and security offerings.
Before joining DIRECTIONS, Don was manager of technology evaluation for The Boeing Company. He was responsible for preparing annual technology trends and business implications forecasts for IT managers and executives as well as assessing and transitioning new technologies into the business units, most recently for the 787 airplane program. While at Boeing Don led the introduction of Web technologies and managed a team of application analysts at a supercomputer center. Before joining Boeing, he was head of the Computer Division at the Very Large Array radio telescope. He also spent a year in Antarctica with the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition.
Don holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Sydney and B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Canadian universities.
