The Entity Framework (EF) 4.3 is now generally available, providing updates to Microsoft's object-relational mapping (ORM) system. The EF is a set of developer tools and runtime components that map application components that store and manipulate data to corresponding tables in a database management system, such as SQL Server, reducing the amount of data access code required and simplifying code maintenance in response to database design changes.
