An update to SQL Server 2012 was released in Apr. 2012 that contains fixes for multiple components of the product. Cumulative Update Package 1 contains hotfixes for issues that were fixed after SQL Server 2012 was released to manufacturing, and Microsoft recommends that customers apply it only to systems that are experiencing the specific problems noted in the support article.
