Several updates to the runtime and tools used by the Entity Framework (EF), Microsoft's object-relational mapping (ORM) system, are now available. The EF maps application components that store and manipulate data to corresponding tables in a database management system, such as SQL Server, reducing the amount of data access code required and simplifying code maintenance in response to database design changes.
