An updated technical preview of a vulnerability mitigation tool adds new capabilities to harden older applications against malicious exploits without waiting for vendor patches or rebuilding applications. The Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) 3.5 preview now includes four new return-oriented programming (ROP) mitigation techniques inspired by BlueHat Prize contest finalist Ivan Fratric.
