BizTalk Server 2004 is the third major BizTalk release. BizTalk 2004 became generally available in Apr. 2004, which implies that it will leave mainstream support in June 2009. Prior releases include the following:

BizTalk Server 2000. This is the first version of the product and was released in Jan. 2001. Its current service pack is SP2. Mainstream support ends June 30, 2006.

BizTalk Server 2002. Shipped Feb. 2002, this is an incremental release that improves deployment through support for Application Center and through a wizard for quick setup of new BizTalk Server installations at remote trading-partner sites. BizTalk Server 2002 also improved instrumentation for management products, such as Operations Manager, and includes a toolkit for developing BizTalk Server solutions with Visual Studio and the .NET Framework. It is currently on SP1 (released Aug. 1, 2003), and Mainstream support ends Mar. 31, 2007.
