Since the publication of the Nov. 2002 Directions on Microsoft OrgChart, Microsoft has announced the following changes at the vice-presidential level and above:

Debra Willingham is retiring from her position as senior vice president of human resources. Willingham joined Microsoft in 1993 and led the company's enterprise and Windows marketing organizations before taking the human resources position in 2000.

Ramon Demelbauer has replaced Patrick Buffet as vice president, EMEA Services. Demelbauer will be responsible for all of Microsoft's professional services in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. He reports to Mike Sinneck, vice president of worldwide services.

Juergen Gallman has replaced Kurt Sibold as vice president, EMEA, and general manager for Germany. Gallman comes to the company from IBM, where he headed the software business for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He reports to Jean-Philippe Courtois, senior vice president of the EMEA region.

Maggie Wilderotter has joined the company as senior vice president of business strategy. Wilderotter was formerly chief executive officer of Wink Communications, a company that offered online commerce services for interactive television (and was recipient of a US$30 million Microsoft investment in 1999). Wink was acquired by Liberty Broadband Interactive Television in Aug. 2002. Wilderotter will initially report to Craig Mundie, the company's chief technical officer for advanced strategies and policy.
