Outlook 2002 Domino Connector
Jan. 20, 2003

A newly released Domino Connector enables users to employ Outlook 2002 for e-mail, scheduling, contacts, and task management with Lotus Domino R5 servers. Microsoft's free Connector, a client-side Outlook plug-in, provides an alternative to the similar Lotus iNotes Access for Outlook client, which connects Outlook 98 and 2000 to Domino but does not support Outlook 2002. Note that neither client enables any Notes features that are not present in Outlook, such as access to Notes databases and applications. The Connector requires the Lotus Notes R5 client software. Microsoft's Connector only supports Domino R5; support for the most recent version of Domino, R6, is planned in 2003 and would likely require an upgrade to Office 11 and Notes R6 on the client.
