Microsoft's current roadmap for its add-on management products shows Operations Manager and Systems Management Server coming together as a suite in late 2004, then being integrated into a single product called System Center in about 2006. Application Center Server will get service packs and bug fixes only; most of its functionality will be incorporated in the next edition of Windows Server, code-named Blackcomb, and its monitoring capabilities will be folded into MOM and ultimately into System Center.

Note that this roadmap covers only the server products maintained by Microsoft's Enterprise Management Group. It does not cover planned management technologies for Windows being developed as part of the Dynamic Systems Initiative, which is run by a separate organization.
