The following is an illustration accompanying an article published by Directions on Microsoft, an independent research firm focused exclusively on Microsoft strategy & technology. More samples of our content, as well as a list of upcoming articles and reports are also available.

The CTP Madness site allows developers to select a CTP release and see a list of other CTPs that are compatible with it. The site is part of Microsoft's Channel 9 developer communication program. In this example, the site reports that the Jan. 2006 WinFX CTP is compatible with only the Dec. 2005 release of Windows Vista and not with previous Vista releases.
