InfoPath 2007's Design Checker helps developers determine whether a form will display correctly in a browser. At the top of the window, the developer identifies the environment in which the form will run and the desired compatibility features. In this example, the form is being designed to run in both the full InfoPath client and in a browser via InfoPath Forms Services. The Design Checker has identified that the form uses a feature of InfoPath—placeholder text—that is not available in browser-based forms. In addition to checking for compatibility with browser-based forms, the Design Checker also identifies whether a form uses features that are not compatible with the 2003 release of InfoPath.
