U.S. Financial Sales Reorganization
Oct. 2, 2006

The U.S. Financial Services sales team will be expanded and reorganized into three groups targeting insurance, capital markets, and banking. Overall team size will go up both in the United States and globally. The change could ultimately mean more Microsoft help for partners selling to financial services customers and could influence organizations for other verticals and locations.

Microsoft already had U.S. marketing teams for insurance, capital markets, and banking, but these teams did not manage the salespeople targeting their specific segments. Leading the three reorganized units will be industry solution directors Bill Hartnett (former general manager of strategy for the U.S. financial services unit) for insurance, Craig Saint-Amour for capital markets, and Greg Haislip for banking.
