Mobility Center unifies the settings that users of mobile computers must regularly change as they dock (connect to a wired network and AC power) and undock (disconnect and use wireless networking and battery power) a mobile computer. It provides a single panel for doing common configuration tasks, such as adjusting the speaker volume, checking the status of a wireless network connection, or stopping applications from opening windows or pop-ups with messages during a presentation. Hardware vendors can extend the Mobility Center by adding additional controls to manage any unique hardware they include in their computers.
