The acquisition of devBiz Business Solutions should strengthen Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) by making important features available via a Web browser. TeamPlain, devBiz's primary product, extends Team Foundation Server (the server portion of VSTS) to enable users to manage work items, documents, reports, and the source code control system through a Web interface. By providing a Web interface, TeamPlain could increase the use of VSTS by allowing project managers and other users to access VSTS without having to deal with the complexity of the Visual Studio integrated development environment. However, organizations will still need VSTS Client Access Licenses for each user accessing VSTS through TeamPlain.

TeamPlain is now available as a free add-on to VSTS and will be integrated into a future version of VSTS.
