The following is a chart accompanying an article published by Directions on Microsoft, an independent research firm focused exclusively on Microsoft strategy & technology. More samples of our content, as well as a list of upcoming articles and
reports are also available.
The following chart enumerates updates to the Windows Media (WM) platform since 1999. The two left columns show versions of the platform and the dates they were first released. The middle column shows which components were updated as part of the platform update. The right column contains additional information about each platform version, such as its ship vehicle.
