Knowing the roadmap for key desktop products is important for optimizing choices for new or renewal Enterprise Agreements (EAs). An organization that wants to bring its current desktops up to date and possibly employ the next version can probably execute an EA today that will get them the current and next versions of Office. An organization considering the wisdom of renewing an EA may want to ensure that a renewal gets them to 2010, thus entitling them to Office 14 whether they renew their EA past that date or not.
