Microsoft’s Online Services give customers a set of Microsoft-hosted solutions that can replace on-premises installations of Exchange, SharePoint, and Communications Server. They are sold separately or, when bundled with the online Live Meeting conferencing service, as the Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS). In this TeleBriefing, Research VP Paul DeGroot explains for the licensing model Microsoft’s Online Services and how it differs from that of its on-premises software. He’ll also discuss pricing, current promotions, how volume licensing customers can purchase online services, and the migration paths that Microsoft offers for customers who want to move from on-premises to online servers.
