Office 365, scheduled for release later this year, will provide hosted versions of Exchange Server 2010, SharePoint Server 2010, and Lync Server 2010 with subscription licenses to the Office desktop software. The new online offering has generated considerable interest among enterprise customers, but there's still some confusion on exactly how Microsoft will license Office 365.

In this TeleBriefing, Rob Horwitz, Research Chair and Co-founder of Directions on Microsoft, provides an overview of the seven Office 365 service plans, what they cost, and how they're licensed. He also explained the new CAL Suite Bridge, a complex but strategically important set of new client access (CAL) licenses Microsoft has introduced to help large organizations with EAs purchase Office 365.   .
