Windows Embedded Standard 7, released to manufacturing in Apr. 2010, includes Windows 7 features such as Internet Explorer 8, Windows Media Player 12, multitouch interfaces, and Windows Media Center. The product will help OEMs create custom Windows 7 OS images for specialized devices such as thin clients, digital signage and industrial controls, set-top boxes, connected media devices, and TVs.
