Now that Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2 have reached the end of Extended support as of July 13, 2010, support has also ended for Hyper-V integration services for these OSs. Organizations using Hyper-V to run older applications that are not compatible with newer systems will still be able to do so, but with the end of support, integration services for the retired OS will not be updated and support will not be available for any issues arising from using the retired OS versions in virtual machines.
