Microsoft Financing has expanded its relationship with De Lage Landen Financial Services, a vendor financing provider, to cover more countries. Microsoft Financing can help customers and partners push deals through by financing the cost of Microsoft licenses and some non-Microsoft products, including hardware and services. The expanded relationship with De Lage Landen enables Microsoft to ramp up programs that were affected by its July 2009 breakup with CIT, a major financing provider which had briefly skirted bankruptcy. De Lage Landen is a subsidiary of Rabobank Group, a AAA-rated banking company based in the Netherlands. It had already served Microsoft Financing customers in some regions (such as Australia), but is now the point of contact for new deals in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries. The arrangement is not exclusive, and Microsoft says it will continue to work with a variety of financing providers. Further information for customers is at www.microsoft.com/licensing/how-to-buy/financing.aspx, and for registered partners at www.microsoftfinancing.com.
