The semi-annual channel (SAC) is a product servicing model promising to deliver two new versions per year; most relevant with respect to Windows 10.
A type of servicing model offered for the Windows client OS (Windows 10) and for Windows Server (version 2016) that delivered feature updates to a computer as often as two to three times a year; replaced by SAC (Semi-Annual Channel) model.
A type of fast cadence servicing model currently offered for System Center Configuration Manager; was also used by Windows 10 and Windows Server, but was superseded by SAC (Semi-annual channel) in 2017.
