Directions on Microsoft's privacy policy

General Information

Since Directions on Microsoft began its services for IT professionals over twenty-five years ago, Directions on Microsoft has only collected the least amount of personal data about members needed to manage the contractual relationship with members. Directions on Microsoft and third parties who we work with only use such personal data to fulfill our obligations to members, including ensuring members can access Directions on Microsoft content, and that content in our publications and courses remains relevant for IT professionals. Directions on Microsoft only keeps such personal data for the duration of the membership. If you cancel your membership, we will delete any related personal data when Directions on Microsoft is no longer required by U.S. law to retain it. We use reasonable and standard security precautions to protect all personal data we need to fulfill our obligations to you.

Generally, this means we have a legitimate business purpose for any data we collect or process. It also means we sell no data to anyone. Ever. We profile subscribers, but only to suggest articles of interest to individual subscribers and to focus future content to such interests. Your preferences are not shared with others, either within your organization or elsewhere. If you wish to review, modify, delete the data we have about you, and after you have proven your identity to us so we can authorize your access to your data, we are open to discuss with you what data we have, and how we use it to provide services to you. Occasionally Directions on Microsoft reaches out to members and non-members to describe our services or upcoming events. Directions on Microsoft feels it has a legitimate business interest in making such communications about its services. If you do not wish to receive such communications notify us and we will not contact you again. Each communication contains the ability to request Directions on Microsoft does not contact you in the future.
