In Brief: SQL Server SP2 released

SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) is now available on the Web. SP2 rolls up numerous fixes, most dealing with performance issues or problems in tools rather than server-crashing bugs. SP2 also closes some security holes. For instance, it fixes the "SQL Query Abuse" problem that allows a database user to execute operating system commands under the SQL Server service account (which may have administrative privileges). SP2 includes all fixes from Service Pack 1.
