The judge in the Microsoft Java lawsuit has dismissed all of Sun's copyright claims. Sun is suing Microsoft for creating Windows-specific Java technology that does not pass Sun’s cross-platform compliance tests. The ruling settles one of the major issues of the suit in Microsoft's favor; Microsoft can now focus on fighting Sun's remaining claims of unfair competition, trademark infringement, and breach of contract.
