In Brief: .NET Evangelist Hired

Recognizing the need for industrywide support of its .NET initiative, Microsoft has hired Silicon Valley business veteran Dan'l Lewin as vice president of .NET Business Development. Lewin has eighteen years' experience working in Silicon Valley technology firms, including Apple Computer and Go (an early handheld computing pioneer) and was a founding vice president of NeXT. Lewin will work out of Microsoft's Mountain View office in the heart of Silicon Valley, giving the company an important presence on the home turf of many partners and major rivals.
