The Visual Studio.NET 'Desktop'

This view of the Visual Studio.NET "desktop" reveals the numerous changes to the IDE. In practice, many of these panes would be collapsed into tabbed sections or would drop out of the way until needed, so the desktop need not appear as cluttered as this. This center pane contains a graphical drag-and-drop image of a very simple Web form being created with Visual Basic.NET. All of the panes are movable, can be docked, and can be merged into shared sections with tabbed labels.
