Web Sites Can Be Tailored for Xbox Viewing

Guidelines for developing Web sites that work well when viewed on the Xbox 360 console are available and could be valuable to companies that market to Xbox customers over the Web. Xbox 360 runs a specialized version of Internet Explorer (IE) 9 that allows users to navigate using an Xbox controller, voice commands with the Kinect peripheral, or the SmartGlass companion application on a tablet or phone. Most IE9-compatible sites work on Xbox 360 (HTML5 audio and video is supported, for example), but sites can be tuned for the 10-foot viewing experience and limitations of IE on Xbox 360.
