High-End G-Series Azure VMs Announced

Azure G-Series virtual machines (VMs) announced in Oct. 2014 will deliver significantly larger core, RAM, and storage capacities than any currently available Azure VM size. The new VMs could prove useful for server applications with high compute and storage requirements. A new level of storage, Premium Storage, is based on solid-state drive (SSD) storage technology, and is intended to be used for high-performance persistent disks with the new VM sizes.
