SQL Server 2014 Receives First Service Pack

SQL Server 2014 SP1 delivers fixes for bugs found since the Apr. 2014 launch of SQL Server 2014. Fixes include correcting problems associated with managing log files and new performance features of buffer pool extensions and query plans. Other problems addressed include AlwaysOn high-availability failures in certain configurations; issues with Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services; and crashes when connecting and issuing commands via the SQL Server Management Studio.
