The term Office is most often used as the name for client application suites for Windows PCs and Macs licensed under Desktop Applications License Model: Office Professional Plus, Office Standard, and Office for Mac Standard. However, the term is also used in other contexts.

Other Office desktop applications. The term Office is also used to refer to individual applications within Office suites such as Excel and Word, as well as to two other client applications not in the suites, Visio and Project, all licensed under the Desktop Applications License Model.
