Remote Desktop Session Host

Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH), one of the main components in Windows Server’s RDS (Remote Desktop Services) role, is used to host session desktops (a form of server-based desktop).

Licensing use of Remote Desktop Session Host, formerly known as Terminal Services (or Terminal Server) prior to Windows Server 2008 R2, is covered by licensing RDS (see RDS entry for details).
