OS

An OS (operating system) is software that manages computer hardware and allows other software (applications) to run on that hardware. Among other things, an OS handles keyboard, mouse, and touch input; output to the display screen; use of memory and disk; and scheduling the execution of applications. Microsoft OSs include Windows Server for servers and Windows client OSs for PCs, phones, and other client devices.
