AAD Connect Must Be in Place by Dec. 2017

Two deprecated Azure Active Directory (AAD) synchronization tools, DirSync and Azure AD Sync, reached the end of support on Apr. 13, 2017. This means that organizations must migrate to AAD Connect to resolve any support issues that occur from this point on with synchronization of their on-premises AD to AAD. An Apr. 2017 blog post stated that customers have until Dec. 31, 2017, to replace deployments of the technologies with AAD Connect. After Dec. 2017, AAD will no longer accept synchronization connections from DirSync and AAD Sync.
