Visual Studio

Visual Studio (VS), the most popular Windows-based integrated development environment (IDE) for Microsoft's platforms, provides graphical tools for designing, coding, debugging, and testing software. It can be used to create managed applications based on Microsoft's .NET runtimes and languages, such as C# and Visual Basic, and traditional, unmanaged C and C++ applications. The IDE can also be used to build cross-platform Android, iOS, and Windows mobile applications (using technology from Microsoft's Xamarin acquisition or Apache Cordova) and C++ applications that target Linux OSs.
