Azure MultiFactor Authentication

Azure MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) is an online service designed to eliminate the possibility that user accounts setup to secure enterprise applications and services are compromised through the loss of user credentials alone. Most commonly licensed by User SLs (Subscription Licenses), Azure MFA can also be licensed through a consumption-based “per authentication” license model as well. Regardless of licensing approach, phone owners may incur roaming-related or other costs from their telephone carriers to receive the text messages or phone calls generated during the MFA process.
