Microsoft’s Windows 10 Annual Servicing Calendar

The Microsoft proposed annual servicing calendar for Windows 10 uses a rolling 12-month update cadence to update all devices. An organization using this calendar is deploying the second half (H2) Feature Updates of Windows 10 from the Semi-Annual Channel and skipping the H1 versions. For Windows Enterprise and Education, the H2 Feature Updates offer 30 months of Microsoft support versus 18 months for H1, so the policy maximizes the supported life of each Feature Update and gives the organization the most time to test and roll out its replacement.
