Windows 10 Version 21H1 Overview and Roadmap

  • Windows 10 21H1 became generally available on May 18, 2021, but availability will initially be throttled for most devices.
  • This version contains surprisingly few new features, but bug fixes may improve stability for some remote work scenarios.
  • Some features originally planned for Windows 10x (a now-canceled edition of Windows 10) will be incorporated into future Windows 10 versions, likely making 21H2 more disruptive, so organizations may want to hold on to 20H2 for as long as feasible.
