Azure Hybrid Benefit for Linux

Azure Hybrid Benefit (AHB) for Linux is a procedure that Red Hat and SUSE Linux customers can use to apply subscription licenses acquired from these vendors to cover the use of these OSs within Azure VM-based workloads. In the absence of AHB for Linux, a customer deploying an Azure VM running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) OSs is charged a “Pay As You Go” (PAYG) fee that combines compute fees (covering the use of server hardware in Microsoft's data centers) and OS rental fees; application of AHB for Linux waives the OS rental fees.
