RoadmapLogic Apps Roadmap
Azure Logic Apps hosts workflows and offers workflow development, deployment, and management for application integration. For example, a Logic Apps workflow might integrate a bulk e-mail service and a customer relationship management (CRM) service to capture sales leads from e-mail responses. Logic Apps can provide a hub for integration of multiple applications and cloud services within an organization or between the organization and its partners, consolidating integration on a single platform and Microsoft-managed infrastructure.
Logic Apps and Power Automate both support workflows and have somewhat overlapping functionality; Logic Apps is Azure-centric, whereas Power Automate is used with Office 365. (See the sidebar “Comparing Integration Options”.)

Near Term (2025–2026)
In early 2025, Microsoft announced previews of several new features for Logic Apps, mostly focused on manageability along with supporting Microsoft’s AI initiatives.
More specifically, by further integrating Logic Apps with Azure AI Search and Cosmos DB, it aims to make it easier for developers to use Logic Apps as part of retrieval augmented generation (RAG) applications.
