  • Customers on Windows 11 versions before 24H2 should migrate to the just- released Windows 11 25H2.
  • Others should evaluate Windows 11 25H2 app management and Wi-Fi improvements.

Windows 11 25H2, the latest version of the Windows client OS, became generally available in Oct. 2025. It is a minor upgrade of the previous version, 24H2, but customers running earlier versions should plan upgrades.

Clock Reset for 23H2 and Older

Windows 10 support for all versions ends Oct. 14, 2025.

Customers running Windows 11 versions from 2023 or earlier also should begin migration to 25H2, because their support deadlines are approaching (see fig. 1). Specifically, for Windows Enterprise (and Education), Windows 11 22H2 has just left support, while 23H2 support will end in Nov. 2026.

Windows 11 25H2 resets the support clock, meaning customers running Pro (or Home) editions of Windows get 24 months of support starting Sept. 30, 2025, and Enterprise and Education customers get 36 months starting that same date.
