System Center 2007 installations should be targeted for migration. Mainstream support has ended for Data Protection Manager 2007 and Virtual Machine Manager 2007 and will end soon for all other System Center 2007 products. None will likely be updated for newer Microsoft OSs or applications. Capacity Planner 2007 left Mainstream support in Apr. 2013. Shown here are important upcoming support dates for recent versions of System Center products, including predecessor products such as Systems Management Server (SMS), now known as Configuration Manager. Note that Microsoft occasionally changes these dates according to the company’s support life-cycle policy. Dates shown here are as published at press time.

Support for System Center 2012 after Jan. 14, 2014, will require updating to System Center 2012 SP1.
