Charts & IllustrationsSIL-Logged Data
Software Inventory Logging (SIL) gathers a range of information from virtualization hosts and virtual machines. Most of the information is intended to assist with the licensing of Windows Server and System Center, but information provided could also be useful to understanding SQL Server licensing requirements. Because SIL tracks data over time, reported on a monthly basis, results are returned in a format that could prove useful in planning license renewals or in license audit defense.
