Cortana Intelligence Suite is a framework of Azure services that aim to help customers build Big Data solutions. The suite does not introduce significant new technology, but it provides code samples and templates that pull existing Azure-hosted services together into logical pipelines for each step of a Big Data analysis process. The suite encompasses data acquisition and storage, machine learning, advanced analytics, data visualization, and preconfigured solutions for Big Data. The suite could help speed deployment of solutions more quickly and less expensively than on-premises; however, architecting an effective solution and predicting costs may be challenging.

End-to-End Analysis Pipelines

Azure has Microsoft-hosted services for building solutions designed to analyze large, unstructured data sources (often called Big Data) such as Web logs, blog posts, or Facebook and Twitter feeds. These sources often contain unprocessed data that could provide insights to solve business problems.
