  • System Center 2019 improves monitoring and management with Azure.
  • This version adds support for recent versions of Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and Windows Server.
  • All future versions will offer long-term support.

System Center 2019 became generally available in Mar. 2019. New features in this version of the data center management suite focus on Virtual Machine Manager and Operations Manager, with a select set of improvements for Data Protection Manager. These features should help organizations take advantage of some Azure-hosted management and security services and add support for Windows Server 2019.

Operations Manager extends integration with Azure services, including generating application diagrams based on Azure Service Map and the inclusion of performance metrics and alerts from Application Insights through an Azure Management Pack.

Virtual Machine Manager integrates with Azure Update Management for VMs and introduces a non-privileged VM administrator role intended to enable delegated management of VMs.
