Azure App Service is a PaaS offering that hosts Web applications, services that drive mobile and other types of applications, and code routines (functions) that can be called from external applications. App Service could be a better option for hosting applications and services than organization-managed servers. The service could cut costs, simplify processes, and enable additional or more optimized functionality. However, costs may be hard to predict, and they could be higher than non-PaaS options in some cases.
