Event Grid Roadmap

Azure Event Grid is a cloud message broker service. It routes messages (also called events) between components of an Azure solution including Azure services and third-party applications. It supports various messaging patterns (such as publish-subscribe and request-reply), messaging reliability levels, and protocols, and is integrated with most Azure services. The broad reach of Event Grid makes it a natural choice as a messaging backbone for Azure systems.

Azure Event Grid has steadily increased its reach—the number of different types of messaging endpoints it can connect—over the last two years.
