RoadmapChaos Studio
Azure Chaos Studio generates failures and degraded conditions on Azure resources so that development and IT teams can ensure applications respond properly.
Product: Chaos Studio
Near-Term Roadmap (2026-2027)
Chaos Studio has not received any recent updates, but the Azure Infrastructure Resiliency Manager, in preview, leverages Chaos Studio. This tool provides an AI agent that lets administrators and developers use natural language to review and improve resiliency of Azure deployments, such as VMs, databases, and Kubernetes clusters. The agent can set up drills that call Chaos Studio to test Availability Zone failures while using Azure Monitor to observe application health to ensure resources fail over properly. Drills are performed on production deployments, but the Azure Infrastructure Resiliency Manager recovers back to original state after tests are executed.
Long Term Roadmap (Beyond 2027)
Chaos Studio is a mature service, so it is not likely to receive significant changes. However, it will likely increasingly be leveraged by AI-based tools, such as the Azure Infrastructure Resiliency Manager and other test-centric agents, to help customers maintain resilient deployments.r Azure to enable improved natural language interactivity, such as the ability to create and modify experiments.
