Microsoft Intune is offered stand-alone or as a component in other online service offerings. Several online services licenses that include Intune are shown here. Some of these licenses also deliver rights to use server-based software on-premises (boldfaced).

Intune (right) is a subscription-based Microsoft-hosted online service for managing Windows-based client PCs as well as iOS-, Android-, and Windows Phone-based mobile devices. It includes a client management license (CML) for the System Center Configuration Manager software used on-premises, as well as the Endpoint Protection antimalware software and signatures service.

In addition to being purchased stand-alone, Intune can be acquired as part of the Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS), which adds Azure Active Directory Premium directory service and Azure Rights Management Services (RMS) encryption. EMS delivers two Client Access Licenses (CALs) for use of Windows Server on-premises: the base Windows Server CAL and the RMS add-on CAL.
